As a Belgian based in Spain, Geoffroy Gérard has developed his professional career in higher education in the past ten years. Currently, he is the Managing Director of the IE Foundation.
Previously he was the Deputy Director of Communication at IE, being specifically in charge of all national and international communications coverage for IE University. His professional experience, having been a part of the development of a growth strategy for the university, includes relationships with the media, public relations, organization of corporate events, and strategic and institutional relations. He is an associate professor of Strategic Communication at IE University.
In the area of Executive Education of IE he was also Managing Director of the Global Senior Fellows Initiative, a pioneer program in Europe, directed at high-level executives with an already consolidated professional trajectory and extensive experience who wish to continue influencing the society around them.
Geoffroy Gérard also directs several transverse projects across IE, such as the Hay Festival in Segovia or the Reinventing Higher Education conference, which brings together the presidents of universities worldwide, as well as other stakeholders, to debate the challenges and new trends in the sector.
He speaks Spanish, English, and French and has an Executive MBA from IE Business School, a Master in Corporate Communication from the Pontifical University of Salamanca and a Bachelor in Communication Sciences from the Catholic University of Leuven in Belgium.
