Andrea Prencipe

Rector, LUISS University, Italy

Andrea Prencipe – BA University G. d’Annunzio; MA, S. Anna School of Advanced Studies; MSc and PhD, SPRU-University of Sussex (UK) – is the Rector of LUISS University (I), having formerly served as Deputy Rector. He is a Full Professor of Organization Theory and Innovation.

Andrea has held academic positions at SPRU-University of Sussex (UK), INSEAD (F), and University G. d’Annunzio (I). He has been a Visiting Professor at BI Norway (N), Imperial College Business School (UK), Rotterdam School of Management (NL) and an Honorary Professor at SPRU-University of Sussex (UK). Andrea has been an invited seminar speaker at prestigious universities such as Harvard Business School (US), the University of Michigan (US), London Business School (UK), Oxford University and taught courses at Solvay Business School (B), National Economic University, Hanoi (VN).

Andrea is an Associate Editor of the Journal of Management Studies. He sits on the editorial board of Industrial and Corporate Change, Organization Science, Strategic Management Journal, International Journal of Project Management, Research Policy and Long Range Planning.

Andrea’s research interests revolve around the organization of innovation; project-based organizations; and the relationships between regional social capital and firms’ performance. He has published articles on these subjects in academic journals – e.g. Administrative Science Quarterly, Organization Science, Research Policy – in practitioner journals – e.g. California Management Review – as well as with major international publishers – e.g. Oxford University Press.
