Eve Formisano

Director of Strategic Initiatives, School of Professional Studies, Brown University, US

Eve Formisano became the Director of Strategic Initiatives at the School of Professional Studies (SPS) at Brown University in September 2015. In this capacity, Eve works closely with the Vice President of Strategic Initiatives/Dean of SPS and other senior officers in evaluating potential initiatives of interest to SPS and the University, oversees project development and strategic implementation. Additionally, Eve works with University colleagues and the broader community to identify new areas of opportunity to enhance SPS’s institutional alignment and profile.

Previously, Eve served as the Executive Director of Brown’s 250th Anniversary in the Office of University Communications, responsible for overseeing the planning, promotion, and delivery of programs, publications, and events offered in conjunction with the 15-month multi-faceted, global celebration. Prior to this role, Eve was the Director of Career and Admission Programs in Brown’s Office of Alumni Relations, providing senior management and strategic planning for a suite of alumni engagement programs and services. Eve’s career prior to Brown centered on fundraising, program development and engagement within the non-profit community.

Eve holds a B.A. in political science and art history from Wheaton College in Massachusetts, and a culinary degree from Johnson & Wales University.
